Sandi brings up an excellent point as a good or bad real estate agent can set the tone for the whole home buying process & choosing one should be taken more seriously, look at it as hiring someone & don't be afraid to interview until you find one that you are comfortable with. A good real estate agent like Sandi will earn their commission & not just collect it.

As with Home Inspectors, Realtors perhaps should be asked what they did before becoming a realtor. Did their jobs entail working with the public, were they detail oriented, what types of volunteer work was done, and what do the realtor's past clients say about them? Is it provable? There are many realtors out there who will say anything and use any strategy to get the client or the listing, but can they back up the claim? I happen to know, as a realtor, that John Goad backs up what he says and he cares a great deal about his clients and his family.

Thanks for the information. This has really helped out. I guess it doesn't hurt to get a second opinion also.
